Christoph Attila Kun joined BASF SE Ludwigshafen in 2011 as a maintenance engineer. After various optimization projects in maintenance, he took over the development and management of the SAP Plant Maintenance Services unit in 2013. In 2018, he moved to the Digitalization department and took over the management of the Digital Asset Master Data Management unit as Product Manager. In 2022, he took over the management of the Digital Data Chain unit as Global Product Manager.
In addition to this activity, he is involved in standardization and digitization of the process industry as head of the VDI technical committee 2770 Digital Manufacturer Information, as manager of the DIN SPEC consortium 91406 Automatic Identification of Physical Objects and as head of the working group Digital Platforms for Asset Management and Maintenance in the Process Industry
In 2022, these three initiatives were merged into the Digital Data Chain Consortium (DDCC). BASF is the consortium leader. Christoph Attila Kun has been managing the DDCC on behalf of BASF since 2022.
