Catalin Batrinu is Lead Technology and Solution Development at the Oerlikon Digital Hub in the Greater Munich area, where he advises business units on AI and IIoT strategies, predictive maintenance, and digital ecosystems. He designs and implements industrial digital frameworks that integrate sensors, digital twins, augmented reality, and scalable software architectures for big data and real-time analytics. His responsibilities include data staging for predictive and descriptive applications, ensuring global data security and regulatory compliance, and leading cross-functional development teams across frontend, backend, cloud, data science, RPA, and IIoT domains.
With a strong background in cloud architecture and over 20 years of software engineering experience, Catalin has worked on complex, high-performance systems in telecommunications, automotive, and semiconductor industries. He is also the author of an IoT book and has developed multiple IoT and cloud-based solutions, combining deep technical expertise with strategic digital transformation capabilities.
