The Distributed Computing Industry Association (www.DCIA.info) is the official international trade organization for connecting companies, content, and consumers to the cloud. Established in 2003 in Washington, DC, the DCIA’s mission is to foster development and adoption of distributed computing technologies for delivering high-value content. Current areas of focus are Big Data, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Mobile Cloud, and Social Networking. DCIA Member Companies include broadband network operators, content rights-holders, and solutions developers. Its activities span advocacy initiatives, business development, communications – including the DCINFO newsletter and major industry webcasts such as the “IoT Marathon,” conferences and expos, standards setting, and working groups.
